Removing Lichen with K4

• Ensure the lichen is dry or slightly damp before application
• Apply to saturate the lichen and stay wet for 10 to 15minutes minutes
• The treated surface should remain undisturbed to dry for 2 to 4 hours before rain

It is important when applying to saturate the plant growth on the roof. To ensure the process is successful it’s always preferable to have low temperatures, no wind or rain. Thus, early morning is the optimal time, and when applying the area should be moist or damp before applying the solution. This pre-empts good saturation and a successful outcome. Poor saturation is one of the main reasons many attempts by some users fail.

Once the lichen has been killed it will breakdown and be washed away by rain over a 3-to-12-month period. No pressure cleaning or scrubbing is needed to remove the lichen.

Because the saturation is complete over the area treated using it will stay clean for 2 to 3 years. We always say : “It stays cleaner longer” and of course the cost of maintenance after that time is always much lower again than high pressure.
